Volunteers are the heart of any not-for-profit organization. The generous gift of your time and skills play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission of providing a safe and adequate blood supply to area patients.
The mission of Central Blood Bank depends on volunteer blood donors. Volunteer blood donors can have a significant impact on the lives of area patients by donating as frequently as possible. For more information regarding this type of volunteer opportunity, visit our Donate Blood page.
Donor Appreciation Representative
Central Blood Bank has 25 community donor centers and fixed sites and more than 200 community mobile blood drives each month. Our greatest need is for volunteers at our mobile blood drives.
After a donor completes the donation process, a Donor Appreciation Representative observes the donor in our canteen area to ensure they are feeling okay. The Donor Appreciation Representative also serves refreshments, educates donors on the need for blood and is available to answer questions.
Most importantly, our Donor Appreciation Representative thanks the donor for helping local patients in need of transfusions. This is the final part of our donation process, and the final opportunity to ensure that our donors have a positive experience, which makes this volunteer opportunity extremely important.
Central Blood Bank volunteers play a very important role in helping us give strength, hope and courage to local patients. In return, we promise that your volunteer experience will be meaningful, memorable and rewarding.
