Changes involve placement of the US license number, clarification of the labeling of directed donations suitable for crossover, adding designated and dedicated to the 'Directed Donation for Intended Recipient Only/ Biohazardous' category; adding an emergency release label; clarifying the labeling of Recovered Plasma; permitting the use of flag characters; and allowing the use of bar codes for red cell antigen and HLA typing. This version has been submitted to the FDA for review. Actual date of acceptance will depend upon this review process.
