Whatever level a donor has achieved upon completion of the calendar year is the level at which he/she will remain throughout the following calendar year, unless you increase your donation frequency.
For benefits a donor will begin the following year at the level representative of the number of donations he/she made the previous year.
However, at the start of each calendar year a donor is once again at the member level of the Brighten Life program and must donate the specified number of times based on donation type to advance once more through the levels. For example, a Brighten Life member who donated whole blood four times in 2009 will receive the benefits outlined in Year Two of the program for the Brightest level from the date they achieved the Brightest level through 2010. If that same member only donates whole blood twice between Jan 1, 2010 and Dec 31, 2010, the member will receive the benefits of the Bright Level throughout 2011.
